Reggie Bagwell was born in Virginia in the summer of 1978 and spent much of his youngest years playing with articulated G.I. Joe’s and drawing up the most amazing enemies Voltron should have squared off against. 1986 was the year his family relocated to the Mississippi Gulf Coast and he began taking art lessons from some guy on PBS and watching Looney Tunes constantly up until they all but stopped airing them recently.
Art classes for two years in high school and a short stint with the Art Instruction School (a correspondence art school drop out) led to a realization that art truly is subjective and the fact that if he didn’t like something didn’t necessarily mean you wouldn’t like it, and he broke out and began trying his own techniques. He has gone from pen and ink chaos, to brilliant, bright colors painted on canvas.
Reggie Bagwell is currently accepting commissioned work and gallery showings of his paintings, drawings and sculptures.
